ABOUT

Studio Taraxaco

Studio Taraxaco is a multidisciplinary architectural and interior design collective which can undertake projects of all scales and sectors, spanning it's roots on architectural workshops, international design competitions along with artistic installations, photography and infographics.
Based between Marseille and Marrakech the studio's founders are currently working on multiple projects, such as  building renovations in Marseille, the interior design of a luxury camp hotel in Marrakech and a residential project in an agricultural area in Cyprus.


Living and collaborating between these two cities, we found ourselves searching for a common but unique identity, something to conjoint us and will well express our design versatility. The flower of Taraxaco was a golden section between our mediterranean origins and our continuous wandering for prosper.
A flower that it's seeds wonder through the wind, waiting to thrive in unknown places. Every centimeter of soil can become it's home, every fracture can be an opportunity, a welcome parasite in your garden, a yellow veil in a meadow,, a snowball through a concrete crack.


This exact notion of dispacement, adaption and growth, hidden between it's seeds, represents our style of work and has rooted into our studio's temperament. Taraxaco's ability to move, adapt and thrive keeps pace with our vision as individuals and has infiltrated our aesthetic, our design and symbolically represents our values as designers, portraying the complexity of our architectural studio. Our vision is to grow internationally with an always local perspective for each project. We understand the constant race of contemporary life and we keep pace with new construction techniques and materials, keeping at the same time, humanistic values and scales in our design.


Our multicultural team will support you throughout the design process, the construction or renovation of your space, from conception to delivery. Our international experience have considerably cultivated our vision of space, the perception of volumes, light and atmosphere. Today we are part of an eclectic, atypical style, with multiple influences, combining audacity, authenticity and modernity.

MASSIMILIANO CALANCHI
Architect

Born in Italy, La Spezia in 1989, Massimiliano Calanchi is an architect DPLG, holder of a Masters in Architecture from the University “Politecnico di Milano”.

In addition, he was also studied at the “Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina” in Florianopolis, Brazil and a collaborator of the architectural firm Pimont Arquitetura.

Following the obtention of his diploma, Massimiliano held positions such as architect and project manager for numerous hotel, residential and competition projects within the internationally known agency Imaad Rahmouni in Marrakech.

His career continued in Obicua Architetti, an agency based in Rome and Milan, before moving for Marseille.

​

From his experiences, he has managed and collaborated with several teams carrying out many high-standing projects, notably the Park Hyatt hotel in Marrakech as well as the tower for the Pirelli 39 competition in Milan.

​

His participation in the “Reth! Nking Architecture 2018” competition, in collaboration with the architects Charis Petrou and Luis Quintano, earned him the distinction of second prize for the realization of a passive micro-architecture in the Sahara desert.

​

Massimiliano draws his inspiration from travel and photography, essential tools of his creation.

JESSICA LAMBERT
Interior architect

Born in France in the region of Marseille in 1993, Jessica Lambert is an interior architect and designer, holder of a higher diploma in applied arts and built environment, a BTS in space design as well as a Bac Sciences and Technologies of Design and Applied Arts at the École Supérieure de Design Marseille.

 

Specialized in high-end hotels and residential areas, Jessica has held the positions of project manager and interior designer in internationally renowned agencies such as Matteo Thun in Milan and Imaad Rahmouni in Marrakech.

 

Through her experiences, she has been able to participate in high-standing projects and in particular star-rated luxury hotels, such as the Plage Palace in Palavas-les-Flots, the Sofitel and the Kenzi Rose Garden in Marrakech as well as the Four Point by Sheraton in Slovenia.

 

She is now in charge of designing interior spaces and custom-made furniture and elements, in France and Morocco. She supports the preservation of artisanal know-how, which she wishes to highlight.

 

Indeed, passionate about product design, meticulous and manual, Jessica devotes particular attention to details as the fundamental basis of her project approach.
